Terms of use

Plain terms for a site that only indexes public data. Last updated 20 August 2026.

What this site is

Cashumints.space is an index of publicly available data about Cashu mints. Two kinds of data, both from somewhere else:

  • Mint metadata, read from each mint's own /v1/info endpoint: name, description, software version, supported NUTs, contact details and whether the mint answered when we last asked.
  • Reviews, read from public Nostr relays. These are NIP-87 events published by their authors to relays anyone can query.

We collect that data, normalise it, rank it and show it. We do not create it.

No accounts, no warranties

There is nothing to sign up for. The site is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind: not that the data is accurate, not that it is current, not that the site will be available. Mint data can be minutes or hours old, a mint can change after we last checked, and a relay can fail to answer, in which case you are seeing less than exists.

Use it at your own risk. We are not liable for any loss that follows from using this site or relying on anything you read here. See the disclaimer for the specific risks of using a Cashu mint.

We do not hold your money

This site never takes custody of funds. It has no wallet, it does not touch ecash, and it cannot move, freeze or recover anything. If you have a problem with a mint, the mint operator is the only party who can help you, and we cannot contact them on your behalf.

We are not affiliated with any mint listed here, and no mint pays for its listing, its rank or its rating. Mints are discovered from public Nostr announcements and ranked by an algorithm over public review data.

Reviews are other people's words

Reviews are user-generated content published to public Nostr relays by their authors. We display them, we do not control them. We did not write them, we cannot edit them, and we cannot delete them from the relays that hold them: they are signed events on a network we do not own.

A review is one person's experience, not a verified fact. If you publish one, you are responsible for what it says. Do not publish anything unlawful, and be aware that what you publish is public and permanent (see the privacy page).

We can stop showing a specific review on this site, and we will do that for content that is unlawful. That removes it from these pages only. The event stays on the relays and any other Nostr client can still read it.

Mint URLs, wallet links, operator contacts and everything else that points off this site are there because they are part of the data. A link is not an endorsement and we do not vet what is on the other end.

Changes

These terms can change. The date at the top says when they last did. The site is open source, so every change to this page is in the commit history.
